The White point hiking trail is despite the fact that it is located outside the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, well-known but by far not so crowded like other trail. White Point is a small community at the northern tip of Cape Breton and the hiking trail starts 100 meters pass the B&B. Before reaching the trail is a nice lookout overlooking the Bay.
The trail is fairly easy, a bit of walking up a hill and we reached an open meadow filled with boulders.
The fresh wind blows and you can feel the true Nova Scotia. Its one of those hiking trails that are perfect for an easy getaway for 1 to 3 hours depending how far you go.
The trails descends down to the end of the Peninsula. The perfect place for a lunch or just to soak up the surrounding sceneries.
Small fishing boats are going around and add a cute feature to the trail.
Another unique feature is a graveyard for unknown sailors.
If you are in the area, the trail is a must to do as it is one of the nicest ones we did while touring around Cape Breton.
