Cenote Maya, Mexico

Since the Yucatán Peninsula is favors for the Cenotes, which can be found on every corner of the Peninsula Yucatan, we opted for a visit to one of them. Eventually we decided us to go to the Cenote Maya which is likely one of the largest ones.

On our way to the Ek Balam Mayan ruins, we made a stop here. You can either walk down on stairs or you can use a rope which is much more fun.

Once we were down, I was pretty impressed of the Cenote and of is size.

One can swim inside the Cenote. Several other activities are available. The water is actually not sooooo cold like I thought it would be and is a nice cool of from the hot jungle.
