Boat ride from Boca de Tomatlan

While staying south of Puerto Vallarta on our last vacation, we planned also to do a boat tour in a Mexican panga from Boca de Tomatlan to Yalepa, especially since Yalepa can be just reached with a boat.It turned out that just the boat ride is Mega fun as long as you aren’t seasick.

We departure from a little dock in Boca de Tomatlan in an over filled panga full of locals,  Hippies, lemons and water bottles. After a quick collision with another panga the trip started and immediately we had to hold ourself somewhere since it became pretty fast

I couldn’t believe that some people even stood on the boat.

But once we reached the open water I could soak up the fantastic landscape. Secluded beaches, mountains and palms…perfect.

The ride lasted around 30 minutes and was despite the speed of the boat extremely enjoyable and wonderful. I became mega excited to see Yelapa

Finally we reached a bay and Yelapa…it feels more like Thailand than Mexico.

I didn’t expect to see this…wow….a totally different side of Mexico not far from the bustling Puerto Vallarta. I will write later more  about our time in Yelapa.
